Thousands of shoppers in Melbourne have been forced into isolation after two busy shopping centres were exposed to coronavirus.The Victorian Health Department declared a Kmart and Coles at Epping Plaza Shopping Centre in the city’s north top tier 2 public exposure sites on Sunday.Shoppers at Chadstone Shopping Centre have also been put on high alert as customers wandered around the centre on May 26 while infected with Covid-19. Anyone who attended the shopping centres between the specified times is required to get tested immediately and self-isolate until they receive a negative result.Affected shops in Chadstone on May 26 included the Optus store at 12pm to 12.40pm, Baker’s Delight at 12.40pm to 12.45pm, Woolworths at 12.50pm to 1.30pm, and Zimmerman’s at 12.50pm at 1.30pm.
